When you’re looking looking for a hotel or a motel in the historic district, but you don’t want to be in the middle of the crowd and noise, perhaps looking for a place just outside the heart of the historic district but still close enough to be in walking distance of all the shops down Main Street and the Ohio River, this is might be the place.

All three of these lodging providers are located very close together on the East end of Downtown Madison Indiana. Standing in front of any of these three lodging providers, and looking West toward all the Shops on Main Street, it’s about 3 to 4 blocks walk or drive to where the shops start. This area is also just about 3 blocks North of Vaughn Drive and the Ohio River.

It’s also about 3 blocks walk or drive West and then South to Key West Shrimp House. I mention this only because I find it helpful to take a walk after stuffing my self till my ribs hurt. And when you know you’re going to eat that well, maybe some extra exercise on the way there, and on the way back, might be a good idea.
