Wedding
Wonder Land
When you first enter, you might think you've found the Wedding Wonder Land. The shop is like one big giant display case for all the wedding decor things they can provide. You might think that this is the place where the magic happens, but actually this is just where they plan and store some of the magic until your wedding.
When I hear "wedding planner" I can’t help but to hear the theme song of "Mission Impossible."
They also plan, organize and equip wedding parties, and events for any number of guests you have
in mind. As a veteran I obviously compare my experience to imagined expectations of things outside my own background.
I imagine being able to say, "Houston, we have a problem," and immediately someone speaking on a head set
saying, "Red team go, red team go, this is not a drill." And then people, like ninjas, jumping out of no
where and doing whatever is neccessary to get the job done, while being perfectly dressed. But in the real world,
nothing goes smoothly or gets fixed without a great deal of planning and team work well in advance. One might even
say, "An advance party," (military reference), which is more like a political party, where everything gets
hammered out, rough edges are smoothed, until a single unified vision for the future is agreed upon. And then the
planning to achieve that intended result is done, carefully, accounting for all the details, like General Dwight D.
Eisenhower. All of this is precisely why you need a wedding planner.
History Lesson: General Douglas MacArthur called General Eisenhower, "the best clerk I ever had." While General Eisenhower
said he, "studdied dramatics (acting) under him (General MacArthur) for 12 years."
