Why is a shoe store
sole important
to tourists?

Because when you are doing, exactly what you’re doing right now. Which may possibly be half of what many people do all day at work, sitting at a desk, in an office, protected from actual sunshine, only to drive home to sit for the rest of the day. Which is why you really need a vacation, for the exorcise, and before your heart forgets why it’s beating. You can’t fully appreciate how worn your shoes have become without testing them.

You need to get out and work on your vitamin D defficiency while testing your shoes in combat conditions, like shopping here in the Madison Historic District.

When you get here, and start walking around the Historic District, you’ll realize the old shoes have lost all the bounce they ever thought about having. Hertz will be here, calling out to your aching feet.

Rescue feet 911

And your feet will respond, without even thinking about it, by walking you right up to their front door, and straight to the nearest bench where you can sit down.

Don’t worry, just let the friendly people here know that your feet are on fire and you can’t make it to the shoe rack. They’ll bring the shoes right over to you!

Public Safety Warning:

Walking too far in in old shoes may (or may not) cause your feet to actually fall off. Some people think it’s just an old urban legend, but ask two stubs Joe, he’ll tell ya! P.S. Joe actually lost his feet in a terrible bunji jumping accident, when the bunji cord was replaced with ordinary rope with no stretchy bounce to it, which lead to the Bunji Jumping Act of '47 (Yes, I’m still joking).

After taking your first step in a new pair of shoes, you won’t be able to tell if you’re floating on air.

Send me a thank you letter for saving your feet from amputation. But really the accolades belong to Hertz Shoe store, for being in the right place, at the right time, when you couldn't take one more step. They also carry other walking around accessories, like hand bags, and those waist/fanny packs.

If you have questions for someone who knows what they are talking about when it comes to shoes, just call the phone number at the top of this page, and ask the professionals at Hertz Shoes.

Your feet will thank you!
